KAWS
Exhibition opening on Thursday, May 4th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm*
The Greenberg Gallery welcomes an exhibit from renowned pop artist and designer KAWS from May 5th to June 15th. Featuring all new work created specifically for this event, the exhibition will be available for viewing during gallery hours, Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Known for his figures that bear resemblance to animated pop culture icons, KAWS deconstructs and reimagines these famous and beloved characters to make them a more realistic and gripping reflection on the anxiety and frustration found within modern society. His work has appeared not only in galleries across the globe, but his work, “Companion,” was adapted into a balloon for the 2012 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Now he has created a new chapter in the story told by his characters for visitors at The Greenberg Gallery.
